AABE Kansas-Missouri Chapter

WELCOME TO THE AABE KANSAS-MISSOURI CHAPTER WEBSITE

Dear Members, Guests and Friends:

On behalf of the Officers for the Kansas-Missouri (KS-MO) Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE), I would like to welcome you to our chapter website.

The American Association of Blacks in Energy is dedicated to ensure the input of minorities into the developments of energy policy, research & development technologies, and environmental issues.   We support our youth positively by mentoring high school students; awarding scholarships to college bound students; and the promotion of young professionals within the energy industry.

The AABE KS-MO Chapter is headquartered in Kansas City, Kansas. Our member companies include (but not limited to) Kansas City Power & Light Company (KCPL), Aquila, Diamond Vantage, Omaha Public Power District, Missouri Gas Energy (MGE), the University of Kansas and the City Board of Public Utilities, U.S. Government of Kansas City, Missouri.  Minority professionals in all energy sectors (oil, gas, electricity, nuclear, renewables, government, technology, energy services and water) are welcome to join and give our membership a broader knowledge about the industry when topics arise. College students at accredited institutions studying energy-related fields are also encouraged to participate in AABE.

As you travel through our website, in the AABE KS-MO Chapter you will find information about our Mission, History, Officers and our Committees including: fundraising, membership, legislative, scholastic, education & training and our schedule of monthly meetings.  If you have any questions, please feel free to CONTACT US.

Thanks and I look forward to your participation.

Sincerely,

Stan Lister,
President – AABE Kansas-Missouri Chapter
