The Field Leader provides for the safe and productive execution of Gas Operations and Maintenance field work including operations and maintenance on distribution facilities and regulatory programs. You will be responsible for construction activities, including blueprint reading, pipeline integrity and welding procedures, as well as leading team preparation and execution of written operating plans, while promoting safe work practices and behaviors.
Your primary duties will involve:
- Leading and providing technical expertise to Gas Operation and Maintenance field employees
- Interacting with customers
- Directing work activities to meet established work plans and objectives
- Facilitating team and department safety and agenda meetings
Qualifications for this position include:
- High School diploma/GED; Associates or Bachelors degree in a technical field is preferred
- Technical knowledge in gas transmission and distribution systems gained through either a technical field of study and/or work experience; experience with SAP is a plus
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the capacity to lead change efforts in a competitive business environment
- Ability to motivate, team-build and problem solve
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices and procedures
- Must be able to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- Willingness to work on-call, evenings and weekends as needed
The position may be based out of Howell or Livonia, MI.
