About us

Chapter President Welcome! Greetings, from the Alamo Region Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE©). The Alamo Region Chapter is one of three chapters located in Texas. The chapter is headquartered in San Antonio Texas, the home of several municipally owned utility companies, Oil and Natural Gas Company.

The Alamo Region Chapter welcomes diverse professionals from all energy and energy-related disciplines (oil, gas, electricity, nuclear, renewable, government, technology, energy services, and water) to join our chapter. The chapter executive team and officers believe that each of these disciplines provides our membership and community with a broader knowledge of the varied and unique aspects of the energy industry. Additionally, the officers encourage college students at accredited institutions who are studying in energy-related fields; or planning to pursue careers in the energy industry to participate in AABE.

Our mission is to provide energy professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and students a pathway to learn more about the energy industry through activities such as mentoring, education, community service, and networking. The Alamo Region Chapter Officers are seeking members that can help the organization achieve the goal of impacting San Antonio and its surrounding communities. As you navigate through our website, please view our mission, senior officers, committees, activities, and programs.

When you find an area that interests you, please contact us for more information on how to get involved. On behalf of the Officers, Committee Chairpersons, and members of the Alamo Region Chapter of AABE© - we welcome your ideas and capabilities, so join us.
