Membership Committee

 The Membership Committee has overall responsibility to develop, plan and execute strategies geared at strengthening the infrastructure of the organization by increasing its membership base. The committee will develop a robust membership recruitment & outreach plan to achieve and maintain the Chapter’s annual target level membership.

The Membership Committee’s responsibilities will be carried out by performing the following functions that include but not limited to:


  • Membership solicitation drives
  • Proactive member outreach
  • Membership Surveys to gauge the value members are receiving
  • Member Recognition Activities
  • Developing affiliations with private, public and government entities

Membership Committee eligibility is open to chapter members in good membership standing as defined by AABE® National membership requirements.

AABE Chicago Chapter Membership Dues:

Annual General Membership Dues - $275 (includes National ($225)and Local ($50)fees)

Annual Student Membership Dues - $70 (includes local fees for college students)

Membership is open to:

  • Managerial and professional individuals involved in the energy industry in all its facets (electricity, natural gas, petroleum, renewables, legislation, architecture, engineering and consulting).
  • Consultants who offer expertise primarily in energy related disciplines serving the energy industry
  • Students performing careers in energy related fields
