The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is looking for entrepreneurial leaders and visionaries—men and women who create market-leading businesses in the field of energy, contribute to the strength of their communities and the economy, and help raise the bar of business excellence.
AABE is seeking outstanding companies and entrepreneurs who embody the AABE spirit, and whose professional achievements serve as inspiration and guidance to others striving to make their mark in the field of energy. The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a national association dedicated to ensure the input of African-Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policy regulations, R&D technologies and environmental issues.

Energy Entrepreneur of the Year
The Energy Entrepreneur of the Year award recognizes the men and women who have demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership, professionalism, dedication to improving one’s community and a commitment to opening doors for minorities in the energy industry. This award acknowledges individuals who have broken new ground or developed a unique method of conducting business in the field of energy. Their accomplishments have had significant impact in the energy field and will pave the way for others to pursue business opportunities in that area. Through his/her use of creative marketing techniques, the individuals have carved a special niche or strategically capitalized on general market opportunities to successfully forge ahead.
Supporting data must be documented in an essay submitted with a completed application. Entries must be received by March 20, 2012.
