MS Chapter Scholarship Reception

The Mississippi Association of Blacks in Energy would like to invite you to attend the 23rd Annual Scholarship Award Reception on Thursday, May 9, the Capitol Club, 125 S Congress St, Jackson at 4:00 pm.  The guest speaker is U S Magistrate Judge Linda Anderson.

Non-members are asked to pay $35 in support of the scholarship fund.

The Mississippi Chapter will award $3,000 in scholarships to two area high school seniors.

This year's scholarship recipients are Jessica Pamplin of Forest Hill High School in Jackson, and Jala Morrow of Vicksburg High School, Vicksburg, MS.

Ms. Pamplin will receive the $2,000 Donald E. Meiners Scholarship, named for the former president of Entergy Mississippi.  Meiners was instrumental in the founding of AABE's Mississippi chapter in 1990 and continues to be an enthusiastic supporter.  Ms. Morrow will receive a $1,000 scholarship award.
