To: Schools, After-school Programs and Community Youth Groups:

The Connecticut Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy invites your organization to participate in its Energy Awareness and Career Exploration Program scheduled for Thursday, November 19, 2008. The event will be held at the Northeast Utilities (NU) Headquarters 107 Selden Street, in Berlin, CT beginning 5:00 PM.

The program will feature an opportunity to meet energy professionals and learn first hand about industry related careers as well as, information on AABE’s scholarship program. Students will also tour NU’s Emergency Operations Center to witness the technology used during a major power emergency. Refreshments will also be provided.

 

We have limited space available and would appreciate an RSVP by November 14th. Please use the attached form to confirm your group’s attendance. Unfortunately, we can not provide transportation.

 

We look forward to your participation in the event . . . we are sure your students will find it informative and interesting.
