A Message from the American Association of Blacks in Energy

Announcement from AABE Chair and the Board of Directors

American Association of Blacks In Energy today announced that its board of directors has appointed Ralph Cleveland as permanent President and Chief Executive Officer of AABE.

The American Association of Blacks In Energy is fortunate to have someone of Ralph’s caliber and experience step up to lead the organization.  We are confident that Ralph will successfully implement our strategy and take advantage of the market opportunities ahead. Ralph is a fast, forward visionary with a proven track record of execution. He is a strong communicator who is customer focused with deep leadership capabilities.

Furthermore, as a past Chairman and member of AABE’s Board of Directors, Ralph has a solid understanding of our mission of AABE.

The board believes that the job of the AABE CEO requires these attributes to successfully execute on the organization’s strategy. Ralph Cleveland has the right seasoned executive and operational experience, communication skills, and leadership abilities to deliver the execution and financial performance needed to increase the impact of AABE within the changing energy landscape.

“I am very excited about this opportunity for Ralph to continue and expand upon what he has already started in the interim role. Ralph has experience in providing energy and utility solutions, leveraging diversity and creating high performance”, says Telisa Toliver, AABE’s National Board Chair.

“I am certainly looking forward to leading the organization with a clear vision and an ambition to significantly increase AABE’s impact on behalf of our community,” says Ralph Cleveland.

Please join the board of directors in welcoming our long-time AABE member and 2018 James E. Stewart Awardee, Ralph Cleveland, as the President and CEO of the American Association of Blacks in Energy.
