Legislative Issues and Public Policy Committee

The Legislative Issues & Public Policy (LIPP) Committee is the public policy engine within the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) raising awareness around energy and environmental topics important to the Black community. LIPP manages the legislative, regulatory, and political interests of AABE through the following policy principles:

  • We encourage the equitable distribution of institutional and inter-institutional resources for economic empowerment in the Black community for a more stable, robust, resilient, and inclusive economy for all.
  • We encourage the equitable implementation of technology and the deployment of infrastructure to improve the accessibility of basic goods and services, especially in communities of color.
