The Legislative Issues & Public Policy (LIPP) Committee is the public policy engine within the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) raising awareness around energy and environmental topics important to the Black community. LIPP manages the legislative, regulatory, and political interests of AABE through the following policy principles:
Subcommittee Participation & Leadership Opportunities – Take an active role in shaping AABE’s policy agenda and lead on priority issues.
Monthly LIPP Update Meetings and Special Meetings – Engage in discussions on Enabling Innovation themes such as intellectual property, automation, and workforce development.
Networking & Relationship-Building – Connect with policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and fellow energy professionals.
Policy Influence – Contribute to AABE’s advocacy efforts, position statements, and letters that impact national and international energy policy.
